1974. 46051 reversing into Par station on 22/8/74, probably running round one of the clay trips prevalent around this time. 7C60 headcode would be from a previous working into South Wales.

1967. D189 brings 1N77 Liverpool - Newcastle past Mirfield on 08/02/1967.

1978. 46 052 shunting vans at Plymouth on 27/04/1978. The loco may have come in on 0630 from Bristol TM.

1982. A late departure for 46 052, carrying a little front end damage, with the 1E61 0110 parcels to Leeds.

1984. Still carrying the dent on 10/02/1984 is 46 052, at Kings Cross after arriving with 1A40 from Newcastle.

46 053 - D190
1963. D190 eases the Yorkshire Pullman 1E08 9 56am Harrogate - Kings Cross through the curves at Welwyn Garden City on a fine 27/04/1963, three months or so into its working life'

1976. A fine detailed view of 46 053 sporting 0000 headcode at Birmingham New Street having arrived on 1O13 0700 from Newcastle destined for Poole on 04/08/1976. The loco was changed here as per usual and went ahead, by diagram, on 1V82 1023 Manchester - Plymouth. Note the two small bolts below the headcode panel, a legacy from when many of the fleet had a locomotive shed allocation plate fitted.

1967. D191 awaiting departure from Leeds with 1N77, a Liverpool - Newcastle service on 22/07/1967.

1980. Due to ongoing track work, up trains were forced to enter Taunton station on the Minehead line, on 20/06/1980, having reversed at Silk Mills. 46 054 arrives at Taunton on 1M22 1110 Plymouth - Manchester. Despite the rather decrepit nature of the front end, the pipework below appears newly painted. Note the OHE flashes positioned inside the marker lights.

1966. D192 arriving at York from the south with an unknown passenger service, probably in 1966, before going to Loughborough for refurb in early 1967.

1980. A short afternoon westbound freight is hauled through Exeter St Thomas by 46 055 on a sunny 30/10/1980.

46 056 - D193
1970. Early in the year, 193 heads west near Chepstow with a Washwood Heath - Severn Tunnel Junction train of steel. The loco was one of only seven Peaks to carry lined green livery with full yellow ends, and was even rarer in having lost the D prefix on this livery. Note also, the plated boiler grille and the shedplate still in situ.
