Heritage/Preservation

Seventeen Peaks have managed to escape the cutter's torch.

The owners/groups looking after these fine machines always welcome volunteers and donations to help keep them running.

Here are details if you want to support.

Peak Bonus Ball Bingo

An easy way to donate to the upkeep of the remaining Peaks in preservation, taking part in Andy Piper's Bonus Ball Bingo also gives players a chance to win money from the prize pot. Pay £20 and pick 6 numbers from 1 to 59 and mark the numbers off against the bonus ball drawn in the Lotto draw. Half of each £20 is donated to one of the Groups looking after the Preserved Peaks, with the other half forming the prize pot. Currently running at around 400 lines, there are prizes for the first line(s) to clear their six numbers, also for those on five numbers when the main prize is won, for the first to four numbers and for those poor souls who have not ticked off a single number from their line during the game. Enthusiasts can support by joining the Great Gable Club and receive the quarterly Great Gable Newsletter. Membership offers opportunities to become directly involved with operation and maintenance work with our 'Peaks'.

A Great Gable Club membership card is provided for each member who may choose to take up share ownership in the Peak Locomotive Company and therefore become a part owner in the company's four locomotives. Details about joining the Great Gable Club or share purchase are available from the Great Gable Club address.
